welcome, explorers! i’m mrs. jon! [sproing] today we’re going to play with the play-dohkitchen and we’re going to make dinner. we have four recipes. this one is steak, mashed potatoes, and greenbeans. mmm. this is chicken, baked potato, and carrot. this one is pizza. mmm. and this one is dessert. it’s ice creamand brownies.
(chocolate’s my favorite.) okay, the first dinner that we’re goingto make is this mashed potatoes and t-bone steak andgreen beans. so, first thing let’s do is the mashed potatoes. that looks yummy. so we’ll do a little mashedpotatoes. we’ll make it sort of look like that. oh, i think we need a ball of that. that’sthe gravy. and then we need two skinny gravy things. so, let’s make the little dent in the mashedpotatoes
and put the gravy over it, both sides, and then this in the middle. alright, we’ll put that on the plate. we have an orange plate for this. alright, does that look like mashed potatoesand gravy? mmm. okay, now let’s make the steak. we have this little container thing. i thinkthat’s pretty neat. so, we’re going to put some brown play-dohthat looks like steak, beef steak in there. is that going to be enough? i don’t know.
that should be enough. now let’s close itup and see if it… i don’t know if that’s quite enough yet. alright, let’s see if this works. there we go! that looks like a nice, big steak,doesn’t it? yum, yum, yum! so we’ll put that next to the mashed potatoes, and next what do we have here? we have green, okay. so, we have this machine that we need to put green into.
alright, let’s put green play-doh in hereand squish it out. alright. do those look like green beans? let’s cut them up into smaller green beans. we’ll put them on the plate. there we have a steak dinner with mashed potatoesand green beans. that looks so good! okay, so now, let’s see what else we have. we have, it looks like chicken with a bakedpotato and some carrots. okay, so let’s see here. first, let’sdo a baked potato.
that will be the easiest thing, because wejust need to get some brown and roll it into a potato-y looking shape.right? does that look like a potato? i think so. there’s a potato. okay, so now let’s make the chicken. so, let’s use this handy-dandy presser. it looks like we have some steak in there,still. okay, so we’ll need a little bit of yellowand some white. oh, maybe you’re supposed to, yeah,
do a big thing right there, then a littlebit of white right there. okay, so now let’s close it up and see whathappens. there it is, there’s our chicken. and we can make it pretty, take off all therest of the extra play-doh we don’t need, and there’s our chicken. looks like friedchicken. yum. alright, so we’re just going to have onepiece of chicken. okay? and the last thing is some carrots. hmm. so, we need to make, we’ll have lots ofcarrots, okay?
we’ll need to make a carroty shape, which is thicker on one side and thinner onthe other side. okay, let’s do a few of these. that’s a crazy-shaped carrot, huh? let’s do that again, ‘cause that is…therewe go. that’s better. we have lots of play-doh everywhere. okay. there we go. there, we have three carrots, and we’ll put green tops on them.
there’s one carrot. there’s our second carrot. and there’s our third carrot. so we have three carrots, one, two, three, and we have some fried chicken, and a baked potato. doesn’t that look delicious! okay, now let’s see what else we have. a pizza! so, let’s see what we have for this pizza.
okay, we have, there we go. okay, so we have some more play-doh, and the first thing we need is the bottomdough for the pizza. so we’ll spread it out and make it niceand round. it doesn’t have to be perfect, just like a real pizza isn’t perfect. there we go. there is the pizza crust. in the next layer we need some, what is that?the sauce. oh, that’s probably too much. oops.
let’s make that one flat. there’s the pizza sauce. now, let’s make the cheese. so, we’re going to make some cheese, and put the cheese on the top of the pizza. there’s some cheese. we’ll do a couple more pieces of cheese. that’s lots of extra cheese. okay, now we’re going to put some pepperonipieces on it.
oops! so, we will take this and flatten these out into pieces of pepperoni. those are kind of big pieces, huh. we should make some smaller pieces. we’ll just have three pieces of pepperoni. that’s a good pizza, isn’t it? now, let’s get the pizza cutter and cutthe pizza into pieces. mmm, there’s a piece of pizza! delicious.
okay, now last of all, we have dessert and it’s two brownies and some ice creamwith a cherry on top. that looks delicious, doesn’t it? okay, so now we are going to - oh, it tells us we’re supposed to make theice cream first, huh. so, let’s do that. so we’ll put it into a ball, and then wemash the sides down, sort of shape it a little bit, and then we can put a little cherry on top.
here’s a red cherry for the top. and then, we will get the stuff for the brownies. there are two brownies. one and two. don’t eat them, even though they look likebrownies. and then they have little pieces of - oops! the yellow wants us to make it into littlenuts to put it on the top of these.
so, there we have it. some brownies with icecream. alright, so there’s the brownies with icecream and here’s the pizza that we made and the chicken dinner that we made and the steak dinner that we made. don’t those look delicious! pocky, do you have any eggs for me today? [cluck] oh, thank you, pocky!
it’s a yowie! this one’s named squish! mmm, sounds like something exciting inside. it’s chocolate! mmm, what is it? what do you think it is? it looks interesting. a north american beaver! found in rivers and streams in north america. eats leaves and inner bark of trees. ooh, let’s see what this guy looks like.
